vi. Next Steps
Focus on just a few events for next year, working toward deliberately involving a wide range of perspectives. Perhaps one might involve facilitated conversations around political views, such as "Braver Angels", and another might celebrate the increasingly rich cultural diversity of Oakwood, such as a "Human Library" experience or a food truck festival.
In order to identify a few events, we should give the whole leadership a chance to suggest something, preferably before the next meeting. Two weeks to write up a one-pager about their idea and present and gain consensus.
vii. Adjournment - Cook made a motion, seconded by Housel, to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 6:53 pm.
NEXT MEETING: Tuesday, November 1, 2022, 5 pm. Wright Library Community Room. Program proposals, with regular leadership team meeting to be scheduled later.
Respectfully submitted by Kristi Hale, OIC Secretary
