Roger Crum has lived in Oakwood for 30 years since moving from Florence, Italy to Dayton in 1991 to teach art history at the University of Dayton. He and his wife, Robin Eadie Crum (also an art historian), grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and here in Oakwood they have raised two children through the Oakwood Public Schools: Raphael (OHS, ‘13) and Ilaria (OHS, ‘15). Crum is motivated to work with the Leadership Team because Oakwood is our collective home and he sees the considerable value in working with others—in and beyond the city—toward enhancing positive and pro-active awareness and education, engagement, and action around the history, current state, and future possibilities for diversity, inclusivity, and racial and cross-cultural relations in our community.
