Kate Furmanski and her family moved to Oakwood in 2021, drawn by seeing people of all ages walking and biking through the town, and by the sense that neighbors were looking out for each other, characteristics that she has also noticed in Cincinnati's West End and similar neighborhoods. Kate's experience living in five states has taught her that people of all backgrounds value community and want to live somewhere where they feel that they belong and are welcome.
