About the Event
The annual Imagining Community Symposium brings together community members, nonprofit organizations, and university faculty, staff, and students for meaningful dialogue, presentations, artistic expressions, and workshops. Each year, the Symposium focuses on a community-identified topic that requires deeper engagement. Drawing over 500 attendees and featuring 80+ presenters, the Symposium has hosted nationally recognized speakers and rising scholars whose impactful work is gaining national recognition.
This year’s keynote speakers are David Pepper, lawyer, writer, political activist, former elected official, adjunct professor, former Chairman of the Ohio Democratic Party and a current Charles F. Kettering Foundation Senior Fellow; and Maureen O’Connor, the tenth chief justice of the Supreme Court of Ohio and a current Charles F. Kettering Foundation Senior Fellow.
